The financial scholarship is being awarded to honor of the memory and legacy of Dr. Nadine Sabbagh, M.D. (mother and inspiration to our Founding CEO, RIP 2021), who was well known for helping individuals in need around the world. Although this initiative will be discontinued due to lack of funding since the pandemic, we have contributed to NHSA and other scholarship funds and will continue to offer the merit awards and to provide outreach opportunities for students seeking funding and scholarships through other organizations in Dr. Sabbagh’s honor.
The merit scholarship is offered in conjunction with the Attorney General’s “Triple C Award” in recognition of a student’s Courage, Character & Commitment to Service despite substantial personal adversity, etc. For the duration of this initiative, the combined scholarship and recognition award, have been known to improve a student’s chances of getting into his/her first choice program while the modest scholarship has helped students cover college fees, book costs, and related training/services (SAT/GRE/etc.).
