Nominate Young Professional Honorees

Philo4Thought celebrates the outstanding contributions of dedicated young professionals who strive to make a difference in the lives of those around them. 

ATTORNEY GENERAL’S “TRIPLE C” AWARD: Recommendations for graduating college-bound high school seniors and college students are accepted year-round. This award recognizes the Courage, Character & Commitment to Service of an active member in the Hellenic Community either in the US or Abroad. APPLY NOW: Triple C Award + College-Bound Scholarship.

NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE: Nominations for our “Young Professional of the Month” initiative are also accepted year-round.  At the conclusion of the year three are selected as recipients of our annual Certificate of Excellence, which is issued in collaboration with the New York State Assembly. The Award is indicative of the honoree’s good character, determination to succeed, ability to manage his/her time and responsibilities, and commitment to lead and inspire others through outstanding community outreach.   • Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Breakthrough Hellenic Young Professional (HYP) Group
  • Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Community Outreach
  • Certificate of for Outstanding Lifetime Achievements (for seasoned professionals 65+ who have dedicated their lives to the advancement of the Hellenic community)

To be considered for the Certificate of Excellence, the nominee’s profile should be completed prior to January 1st of the year in which the award will be issued and the following should be submitted to p4tinfo@gmail.com:

  • A letter of recommendation from the person nominating the young professional.
  • A completed interview questionnaire leading to the creation of an online Young Professional of the Month (YPM) profile on Philo4Thought’s Peer Mentors & Ambassadors page.
  • Nominations are reviewed on an annual basis (January 15th-February 15th). The selected YPM’s application packet is then submitted to the New York State Assembly along with a letter from the Chair of Philo4Thought’s Scholarship Review Committee for final review and processing. The Certificate is presented at Philo4Thought’s annual spring symposium (May/June — see our Events Page for details).
