NEW RESEARCH: While Professional Development and the cultivation of a healthy, sustainable Philosophy of Life continue to be the primary focus of our research, we have specialized teams whose research focuses on aspects of Cognitive Development, Mental Health, Healthy Lifestyle, shifts in Instructional Design Theory, Global Instructional Exchange, International Learning Communities and related topics as we seek to lay out the foundation for the 21st-Century Academy.
THE “WHY”: Our CEO’s personal journey inspired the establishment of this “Pay It Forward” philanthropic educational foundation. Thus, we embrace key empowerment strategies passed down to us by Aristotle, provide safe space for discussion, collaboration and networking in the spirit of Plato, and guide clients along the path of self-examination in the spirit of Socrates so they can unlock their potential and truly flourish. Philo4Thought’s vision is to lead others towards the best available resources and opportunities, reducing long-standing gaps in equity and accessibility for young professionals. We strive to provide E.P.I.C. (Efficient, Professional, Innovative, Collaborative) service, fostering a community that can S.H.I.N.E. (Share, Help, Inspire, Navigate, Excel) in all aspects of work and life.
WHO WE SERVE: Our primary audience started with the support of socio-economically underrepresented Hellenic Young Professional (HYP) community across the American East Coast region and gradually expanded across North America, Europe and Africa. Over the years we joined with strategic affiliates to extend our range of service for women in business, Asian, African American, Latino, LGBTQ+ and other underrepresented minority communities.
As we continue to expand, we collaborate with (local/regional/national/global) organizations to create quality opportunities. We maintain an open-door policy to provide inclusive and high-quality community service.
MILESTONES: Since our inception in 2009, over 500,000 individuals have benefitted from our Aristotelian approach to career and lifestyle counseling, advocacy and educational programming. Our work continues to embody ancient Hellenic core values of charity, hospitality and self-knowledge. We invite you to look at our Client & Intern Testimonials for additional details.
In 2009 Philo4Thought launched as a local coffee-side chat initiative in New York City, inspiring college students and new graduates through small-group networking and mentoring sessions. The project was dubbed “The Hellenic Mentoring Initiative” because of its basic, Socratic round-table format, for being a safe space similar to the community formed by Plato, and for its adherence to Aristotle’s strategic principles.
As the initiative gained momentum, we launched a blog of inspirational advisory articles (2009-2014) and in 2014 Philo4Thought Inc. was officially established as a 501(c)3 philanthropic educational nonprofit foundation.
Today we provide various resources and services: Publications (seasonal HYP LIfe newsletter; monthly podcast, articles and VIP access to instructional materials to our Passport Members) and seasonal activities culminating with our Annual Spring Symposium & Awards Ceremony.
We are currently revising a new publication, A is for Aristotle developed by Prof. Salboudis, for her students and clients in 2010. Excerpts of this work have been gradually released exclusively to Philo4Thought VIP Members (2014-2023) as a special membership perk. The compilation is scheduled to be published through Shakespeare & Company in 2024.
We have served over 500,000 individuals directly since 2009. We have also advised several organizations and leadership teams on strategies for improved team building, employee support, etc.
We are currently running a crowdfunding campaign for our next publication! Click here for details.
